Supernatural
August 31, 2009I like watching Supernatural. I heard stories like this in real life. Its scary fun and dramatic horror not to mention that one of its lead character is Jensen Ackles, who is more complex inside than he pretends to be. I once asked my friend why she is not watching this series and she told me that eventhough the lead characters are totally hot, she cant take plot of the series (…but I tell you, she’s watching all these vampire thing!..I just loved one particular vampire…).
Anyways, stars Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki as Dean and Sam Winchester, two brothers who travel the country looking for their missing father and battling evil spirits along the way.
Sam Winchester is a college student bound for law school, determined to escape his family’s past - unlike his older brother, Dean. Ever since they were little their father has been consumed with an obsession to find the evil forces that murdered his beloved wife, in result recruiting and training his two young sons to help him in revenge. They have grown up as hunters of the supernatural. Sam escaped under the premise of going to college, and now has a happy life with his girlfriend, Jessica, and a promising future career. Dean, however, stayed behind with his father to join him in his “hunting”.
Dean goes to Sam for help when their father goes missing. Now Sam must join his brother to find him. His one weekend trip to search for the missing John Winchester becomes an ongoing quest after a horrible tragedy ruins any thought of a happy life for Sam.
The two brothers, bound by tragedy and blood to their mission, travel across the country encountering terrifying and dangerous forces most believe to be nothing but superstition and folklore, such as the Lady in White, the Indian beast known as the Wendigo, Phantom Travelers who cause plane crashes, Bloody Mary, vampires, demons and many more.
Fo those horror fanatics, try watching it, some stories must be based on real life not just pure imagination…believe me.

Problem Solving
August 28, 2009While I was waiting to finish uploading pictures of my recent adventure on my facebook, I was thinking of what would I put on my blog tonight, then was surprised when I received a text message from my previous busmate (we used to ride on the same red car when going home after office).
It was just a simple conversion through text, she said she is starting to feel bored in her relationship with her current bf and feel like her boyfriend is taking her for granted. “Inuuna pa ang barkada nya and gimik” there is no excitement anymore.
What can I say?…. So, I said talk to him about it and tell him nothing better than the truth. There’s a couple of things that they could try - they could take a break and see how it works out (if they really want it to work)… or she could say goodbye, and find someone who will appreciate her more. But there are extenuating circumstances.
And I ended it with “don’t let your world revolves around him, have a life!” She thanked me and said goodnight.
I hope I gave her sound advice and helped her in some way to enlighten things.
Easier said than done, huh? You bet!
Kryptonite
August 27, 2009I want to share this message from my friend. Others may find it “baduy”…Well, I don’t know what my friend is thinking when she forwarded me this:
Have you ever been in love? Horrible isn’t it? It makes you so vulnerable. It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build all these defenses, you build up a whole suit of armor, so that nothing can hurt you, then one stupid person, no different from any other person, wanders into your stupid life…. and you become more stupid. You give them a piece of you, they didn’t ask for it. They did something dumb one day, like kiss you or smile at you, and then your life isn’t your own anymore. That fucking feeling takes hostages. It gets inside you. You cherish every little time you have with them. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so simple a phrase they deliver turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart. It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It’s a soul-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and rips-you-apart-in-pain.
The Big One
August 26, 2009We have a new big Boss, a really Big Boss in every sense of the word. My friend said he is a “pure lean meat” (…and we think so too!!)
Change can be unsettling, especially when it involves our job. Welcoming a new head transitions to a different role with the company is one adjustment almost every worker is likely to make at some point.
Even if we’ve heard good things about the new head, doubts are likely to remain. Will we be able to establish rapport with him/her? What will our new head expect of us? How will the said person’s work style differ from our previous head?
Implementing of drastic changes are presently on-going and the initial response is often negative. People seem to automatically scan a new situation for anything that is not to their benefit. Then they complain about it. This negative focus often blocks their awareness of positive aspects.
While it may seem like much of the transition is out of our control, we have a large role in how smoothly it goes. In fact, our attitude and approach will determine how productive and rewarding the relationship eventually is.
Working for a new head can bring a great deal of uncertainty, but there also is potential for positive changes. Welcome our head with an open mind and supportive attitude, and we will set the stage for a strong working relationship during the transition period and beyond.
Reality Bites
August 25, 2009Sometimes, our routine becomes dull and monotonous. Why so? This is a fact, everything in this world seems to get dull, though it is not so, it is the style or manner with which we handle certain things and situations that become dull. And for that, one or the other has to make some efforts to make things exciting around you. And if our activity is getting quite predictable, then its the time to bring some changes. We just have to ignore other distractions around us and just continue to get back with the swing of things.
We never make others around us feel that they are or were wrong somewhere as this will shatter their self-confidence thereby making the things worse. Though, sometime, we felt that they were lacking something or gone wrong somewhere. But then, we must understand each other better. Then surely the things are going to work for us!
We also know that we are not the sharpest knife in the draw but we are afraid to say anything which will make us sound silly. So, we asked ourselves, are we good enough? What should we do because we are rather confused?
Reality Check
August 24, 2009Buzzzzz…. Oh crap, it’s 06:00am and I’m feeling like I need more sleep. I need to get up, it’s back to work after a week off. The weather is so hot anyway and I need a shower so I get ready and think for a few minutes what would be the scheduled uniform for the day (I haven’t wearing uniform for more than a month since I was assigned in a night shift, we can wear anything we like) . My heart sinks as a torrent of 56 e-mails come flying in when I opened my email address. In amongst the said emails there’s come from one of our quality control reminding me my error track and have to be done now now now. Awww shoot! what a way to start my day!!
This is it then, back to reality of my everyday routine at work answering some smart and some dumb questions. And that God! Thank God that I’m back at work, safe and well after a week of holiday. There’s future days ahead full of possibilities, full of promise, and hope. My heart maybe doesn’t agree with my heads upbeat attitude. But with most things like this, if you set your mind against something, your heart inevitably catches up (that’s the theory at least).
But everyone I know has seemed to struggle harder than ever to get back to work mode or say, others struggle to even have a job. We are needed to make the world a better place.
Somebody said to me, “how about I punch you in the face if you ever fuck up in your work?” So, I better soon get back into the swing of things!!
My Singapore Adventure
August 23, 2009 We boarded at PAL at 2:00pm on August 19, 2009 and landed at 5:30pm at Changi Airport Singapore. We transferred MRT thrice before we arrived at our destination station, Dhoby Ghaut Station, where we had to walk 50 meters to our hotel, YMCA Orchard Road, Singapore. We checked in, left our things and off again to our first destination, the Night Safari.
At 09:00pm we were at The Night Safari (they call it Singapore Zoo during the day), where it has been much acclaimed for its open landscape and spaciousness wherein the animals live in enclosures simulating that of their natural habitat. The zoo is filled with exotic animals like white tigers, polar bears, and Asian elephants etc. It is the world’s first such attraction. We experienced wildlife on a 45-minute tram ride, we refused the Walking Trails to get a feel of the park in eight geographical zones covering forty hectares of forested park. The sight of watching over one hundred different species of nocturnal animals (including leopards, lions and tigers) is simply amazing and something you will remember always. We watched the 30 minutes animal show before heading back to the hotel at 11:00pm.
On our 2nd day, August 20, 2009, since it was my birthday, we first visited St Andrew Cathedral and offered prayers. It is an Anglican cathedral in Singapore, the country’s largest cathedral. It is located near City Hall MRT Interchange in the Downtown Core, within the Central Area in Singapore’s central business district. It is the Cathedral church of the Anglican Diocese of Singapore and the mother church of her 26 parishes and more than 55 congregations. It has a Filipino mass every Sunday at 11:00am. After that, we visited Sentosa island resort. We explored the Underwater World (I was disappointed with their aquarium, I thought it was very wide and long). We met Dugong and other underwater creatures. We were allowed to touch little sharks, it was really scary. We just watched other guests having foot spa on the water with little fishes eating dead skins at S$10 per 5 minutes. We rode on their tram and got off at Fort Siloso, a historical site. We also visited Palawan beach, Tanjong Beach, Pulau Beach and Siloso Beach. We walked for a few minutes along the beach, crossed their hanging bridge and took some pictures then rode again on the tram going to 30 minutes Pink Dolphin Show displaying their antiques. After that we went to Big Merlion, took some pictures again and watched the cable car and sky train. At 7:40pm we headed to Song of the Sea Show. It was live seashore musical show mixed with laser animated show on a big water smoked screen. Then we exited Sentosa and found ourselves at newly opened shopping mall, VivoCity. just outside Sentosa, the biggest mall in Singapore, with 300+ shops.
On our 3rd day, August 21, 2009, we looked for something to buy at Bugis Street (it is like Divisoria in the Philippines). We just walked from Bugis Station, Somerset and Dhoby Ghaut, while browsing through the malls along the way like Lucky Plaza, Ngee Ann City and Shaw House and Centre. We visited every bookstore we found. At 1:00pm, we were already at the hotel, weather was not good, there was thunder and lightning. We just stayed in our room and sleep it off. At 6:00pm we were headed at Suntec City to experience the Fountain of Wealth and waited for the light show. At 8:30pm, before we headed to Esplanade, we took some pictures of Giant Ferris Wheel. Then we walked along the Merlion Park. Considered to be the tourism mascot of Singapore, the Merlion is a majestic icon on the island. There is a eight-metre high Merlion statue standing right up there at the mouth of the Singapore River. Merlion is a mythical beast - said to be half lion and half fish. It symbolizes the courage, strength and resilience of the Singapore people. Then we went back to Dhoby Ghaut Station where we browse the establishments along the Orchard Road.
On our last day, we woke up and had our buffet breakfast at the hotel then checked out. We transferred again from station to station thrice before we arrived at Changi Airport, where we browsed on the establishments inside. We boarded at 2:00pm and landed on Manila at 5:45pm. At 7:15, I was safely home.
Well, as my friend said, that’s conclude my Singapore trip!
PIctures??? Well, just let me know and I’ll send you a copy.
Thank You Very Much
August 22, 2009For all the greetings that I received earlier, for those who greeted me when I was away (…which I did not received since I did not have my mobile with me nor I opened my emails) and for those who belatedly sent their greetings, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my cups…eerrrr…my heart rather. You are really appreciated for remembering my big day. And for my friend who accompanied me to the spectacular vacation, thank you for making my birthday a wonderful experience .
I don’t mind getting another year older and any age is great
.
You all have to forgive me if I’ve chosen to be away on this particular day. I needed a chance to think. I needed some space, some distance between myself and the rest of my life. I feel so much better than I did before I left. I got a few things figured out, and I really feel like I’m ready for the next phase of my life, whatever that might be. . (….drama ba??…i just pick it up somewhere…hehehe)
Thank you very much and God Bless you all.
Another Year Older, and None or is it a little the Wiser?
August 19, 2009As I wont be able to update my blog tomorrow, I’m now putting my thoughts today. Tomorrow, August 20, will be a very special day for me….Woo-hoo!!! I’ll be turning ..ty nine (he..he..he..), and I still refuse to acknowledge the day and the number that goes along with it, but I’m getting over it. I’ll be another year older but just a little or none the wiser.
It’s an assumption based on the fact that older people were seen as wise before. “A wise old man” used to be the one finding the solution in the old stories. So when you get older, people automatically assume you’re wiser through what you experienced in the previous year. See, I don’t feel old…that’s why I don’t feel wiser (…just kidding!!!)
All of us age, whether we want to or not. Every year brings another birthday, making me another year older, another year wiser, another year stronger….and whole lot hotter (its my birthday guys…pagbigyan nyo na ako!!).
Many painful lessons this year; much needed growth accompanied by growing pains. Still, I’m a much better person today than I was the previous years, so I have to say that it was a good year. I’m enjoying life more, looking back and moving forward.
There is so much going on my life, a lot bad but a lot good too. For both I want to be at my best though.
Planned the unplanned
August 17, 2009Hey guys, I’ll be taking a vacation and will be in Singapore from August 19-22, 2009. I’m planning of crossing to Malaysia but my friend, who will be traveling with me, is having second thought about it. It will be just a short trip from Singapore but she is scared to cross since they say people from Malaysia looks like in voodoo (sshhh…she didn’t know i’m a witch myself hahaha!!). I’ll be celebrating my birthday there, no plans yet how are we going to celebrate it. This is unplanned vacation, I just informed my friend 5 months ago that I would be on leave on that particular date and wanted to take a vacation somewhere. And viola!!!!!….the next thing I know she is taking care of everything, the flight, hotels and our eterinaries Three weeks ago I received an offline message from her informing me she booked us for a flight to Singapore. We seldom see each other these past few weeks due to our conflict in schedules. Thanks a lot girl! You are my walking travel and tour agency J.
Sometimes when we plan so hard over something there are high chances for it to turn out not as we expected, however when we do something without planning much it turns out to be thrilling and enjoying. So I’m taking my own advice, beginning on Wednesday until Saturday, I’ll be on vacation—a real vacation after 3 very tiring days which was supposed to be my vacation. That means no blogging, email or IMng I’ll have virtually no access to a phone (im not bringing my mobile nor will have it roam) or computer. In short, I’m dropping off the internet communication for three whole days. But don’t worry, I’ll keep you posted of my adventures next week.
It is amazing how the simple anticipation of going somewhere can begin the relaxation process and daydreaming. Last year it took my other friend and I one whole week to completely come back to reality after a spectacular three days of pure pleasure in Hongkong. We had such a great time.
As my facebook says, my name means I like to work, but I always want a break. I am very open-minded and a social butterfly.

Ghostly Voice
August 13, 2009I’m a great lover of ghost stories, including true ones but I am normally reluctant to immediately leap to the conclusion that ghosts or demons are responsible for unexplained phenomena.
I’m in night schedules these last few weeks when this one particular evening something unexplained happened. On that night, there were just the 3 of us, 2 girls and a boy, although there were other 2 stationed at the other room within the same floor. Since there must be somebody manned for incoming calls, we shifted our breaks. Around 3:30am, it was my turn to take my break. I was getting eady to sleep and prepared the 2 sofa cushions, 2 pillows and my alampay at the back of my 2 companions chairs, who were busy either playing games or answering calls. After 30 minutes, probably I drifted into sleep and was awoken by one of them shouting “Ano yun? Ano yun?” then threw her headset to our guy companion, who was standing that time trying to look for something or someone? I also stood up and asked them what was the matter. They told me that they heard somebody calling the name of our girls’ companion several times. They said it was coming from the station in front of them. We let all the lights on assuming that it must be one of our officemate who usually comes in early and just making a joke on us. But nobody was around. My girl companion became restless and just remain standing while I go back again to sleep. After a few minutes, she became frantic again, they heard again the same voice saying “Hi’ then saying her name twice just beside her station. She covered her ears saying loudly “ayoko na, ayoko na, natatakot na ako”, almost hysterically. They said that they heard the voice almost whispering in their ears as if it is just beside them. After that, they continue working and I continue resting without interruptions, but we all kept our ears open for any sounds, until the next shift started to come in.
Probably I was very sleepy that time, I did not hear anything but according to them, it was very clear and audible and the voice sounds like an old man. It was unnerving, actually. Incidentally, I did not feel at all alarmed throughout the incident, as I would expect to feel if something ghostly were about.
I heard some ghost stories in our office like hearing somebody running or playing, seeing somebody not us, hearing a knock or any strange sounds, whistling but this is the first time that I heard somebody calling one of us, who incidentally will be celebrating her birthday this coming 26. Her father already passed away a few years ago and I told her that probably it would be her dad greeting her in advance. While I just received a news the night before that my Tita has already passed away which I think has nothing to do with the unexplained experience of my companions.
OK…who the hell was that?
House rules
August 12, 2009I don’t bend rules, I break it…(just kidding, but there is a touch of reality with that). They say if you bend the rules, you might as well break it, it’s the same anyway.
We were surprised one day when we came to work and somebody requested us to sign some papers containing the house rules. Maybe, I think I know just what to do and there are hidden rules that may trip me up if I am not extremely careful. So, I try to let others guide me, though it may bruise my pride a bit.
Having rules creates less of a chance for fighting among all people in the house. It will help to avoid a conflict and keep the group in harmony then life seems to flow better. It will help organize the group and have more freedom, even with the rules.
Awfully simple things that entertains me
August 11, 2009I like watching Mr Bean even though repeatedly shown on air. Life is a difficult challenge for Mr Bean, who despite being a grown adult, has trouble completing even the simplest of tasks. Thankfully, his perseverance is usually rewarded, and he finds an ingenious way around the problem. Just being able to laugh at his antics is enough. He is doing dumb things to entertain us.
What the fortune cookies tells you?
August 10, 2009I had a lunch at Chowking today. I really like eating at Chowking because they have delicious Halo-Halo and congee. I remember a year or two ago, they used to sell fortune cookies. So, whenever a visited Chowking I always grabbed a cookie. I was so excited to read my fortune. (wala lang,, something to entertain me…ambabaw ko daw!!!!) And what does fortune cookie tell us? Just some you’ll find inside the fortune cookies….
- Rest has a peaceful effect on your physical and emotional health. ( nothing like a cookie telling you that you need more sleep.)
- The secret of staying young is good health, and lying about your age. (o.0::)
- Do what you can. Money will follow. (I really hope so…seems like we have different paths)
- Something nice is coming on you in the mail. (the scary part about this cookie was the fact that it was right)
- Your uniqueness is more than an outward experience. (I didn’t know I’m unique…)
- Your luck has been completely changed today. ( Is this a good thing or a bad thing? )
- You will always possess a charm and sense of humor that attracts others. (I have a witch charm…..hehehe)
- The hard times will begin to fade. Joy will take their place. (I know a lot of Joy’s !!!)
- Be careful not to overspend. (as always, no need to remind me)
- You are a man of righteousness and integrity. (That’s nice and all but I’m a woman)
- Some pursue happiness; you create it. (Oh men, creature of happiness)
- You have tasted both the bitterness and sweetness of coffee. (I don’t drink coffee)
- A quiet evening with friends is the best tonic for a long day. (How can you be quiet with your friends, its riot)
- Every person is the architect of his own fortune. (How come, we are reading our fortune)
- Now is the time to try something new. (…always try something new)
- A good way to keep healthy is to eat more Chinese food. (…that’s more like Chowking)
- Never forget a friend, especially if he owes you. (They will be the one to forget you)
- What you left behind is more mellow than wine. (What does it mean??)
- Wisdom is the principal thing. (….and what’s minor?)
- Your future is as boundless as the lofty heaven. (that’s why its called “future”)
- You’ll accomplish more if you start now. (that’s like saying what you can do today, do it now)
- A tub and a rub will change your day. (…im thinking of a spa, it always makes my day)
- Your heart is a place to draw true happiness. (yeah right….happiness comes from the hear)
- You are about to embark on a most delightful journey. (..delightful indeed)
- Your many hidden talents will become obvious to those around you. (…and they say keep it hidden)
- Great acts of kindness will befall you in the coming months. (I’m always kind)
- Traveling this year will bring your life into greater perspective. (…and more expenses…)
- Your future is sweet. (I hope its not diabetes…)
Sister’s Act
August 8, 2009This regular rider of my spaceship grew up in an absolutely beautiful, wonderful and loving home. She has a younger sister wherein people often felt compelled to call her a “built-in babysitter.” She flinched every time they said that, because she wanted to be a big sister, not a babysitter. But having a young sister was great for her. They were sisters and the best of friends. And even though they are now miles apart, they still love each other and she miss her deeply.
When her younger sister got married, she was a bit upset of course, when she thought they were losing her. After a few years, she gained 3 nephews and they were ecstatic, though, she personally visiting them at least once every two years. Every time she see her, she’s grown and changed so much, and it’s difficult to know that she’s missing so many important moments in her life. But then, they are growing closer in many ways. They supported each other in all phases of their lives through the good, bad and the ugly.
Their parents are too old to travel and visit her sister and her family. Recently, the whole family of her sister had a month vacation and she was very grateful. Her parents were very glad to see their 3 grandchildren especially the 2 for the first time.
But….she’s in for a surprise and asked herself…..Is blood really thicker than water?
To be continued…….
Chill Out !!!!
August 7, 2009Its best to chill out — even if it means walking away from a good thing — and look for new solutions. It may take quite a while, but our innate flexibility means we can get it done. Slow down there and make sure that we’re checking out all our options. We never know when people might want us to take part in something but not know quite how to ask us in time.
MRT Battle
August 6, 2009I normally rides MRT going to and coming from work. It is more convenient since it can take you to a designated place as early as you can without going through the EDSA traffic.
But I was mistaken, the battle was just started. There it was…. a huge people falling-in line to pay to the cashier. I have my stored value ticket so no need to fall in line…so I thought. It took me almost 5 minutes to get inside the station because of the strict searching of the guard along the entrance. Once inside, I waited for the train to arrive which was supposed to be 4 minutes interval. But then, I was standing for about 10 minutes and no train in sight. Finally, after 15 minutes, the train arrived full of passengers with no space for other passengers waiting. I let the train passed and waited for another, which arrived again after 15 minutes. And again, full of passengers, this time I let myself squeezed inside just not to be late at work. Once inside, I found myself glued to the door since there was no space to move. If I were wearing blouse with automatic buttons, I probably get off the train naked. It is air-conditioned but I was sweating all over. However of my patience, the battle has been over after 3 stations where I need to get off. Somebody who said that when riding at MRT “sa halip na mapabilis, madadali ka (meaning madadali ang buhay mo)” is right…I missed my C-5 ride eventhough, it is just for going home, it relieves my stress.
