The Ghost of "Ondoy"

September 26, 2009 became the worst natural disaster experienced in the Philippines since 1967. Typhoon “Ondoy” brought the record breaking rainfall that caused massive flooding all around Luzon, most especially in Metro Manila for Marikina, Pasig and Rizal areas.  Many live in lower areas that are subject to flooding in that areas. The result was disastrous.  Never have I seen widespread flooding of this magnitude. We just stayed at home, luckily we are located on the 3rd floor of a 3-storey residential building and we consider us the least affected by the typhoon, though, from our terrace, we saw that it was above knee flood on the street. We helplessly watched updates from the tv and prayed that we may be able to be of help and a blessing to others in any way we were able.
