Celebrating holidays ?!?!
February 14, 2010How do you celebrate your Valentines Day?….and Chinese New Year?
I watched the movie “Valentine’s Day” with a friend yesterday. It’s a intertwining storylines of a group of Los Angelinas as they find their way through romance over the course of one Valentine’s Day. It is a good movie, fun, and entertaining though some may find it purely romantic. We laughed at several scenes specially on the Indiana guy who is not aware that day is a Valentines Day since according to his colleagues, he only knows the “Love your Cousin” day and the hunk player who admits that he is a gay afterall, and there was laughter and hands clapping inside the cinema when the guy partner appeared on screen turned out to be a very rich and good looking who you might think earlier trying to hook up with Julia Roberts on the plane.
After the movie, when we were attending the mass, my friend suddenly said “come to think of it, its been years since we celebrated Valentines Day together?” Yes, we do not see each other regularly but we manage to be together occasionally and Valentines Day is one of those occasions that we always find time to meet…..And I can no longer remember the last time I watch a movie on big screen.
Today is Chinese New Year and Valentines Day at the same time, I am off to a spa with my cousins (too bad, wont enjoy it much, this is the time of the month again….what a bloody valentines for me) and probably a dinner later. We have pasta, fruits and tikoy on our table. Accordingly, if you start the year with money, surrounded by friends and in a clean setting, you will be lucky, happy and have prosperity throughout the next year.
Luv Yaz!!!
