My Bohol Trip
April 1, 2010 March 21, 2010, 5:00am, we rode a taxi going to Pier 1 for Oceanjet Ferry going to Tagbilaran. THe ferry will be leaving 6:00am, we were on board 30 minutes earlier and all troley had to be checked in. We met my friends on board. After roughly 2 hours, we were at Tagbilaran Pier. We spotted someone holding a sign that says “Joys and Company”, and my friend said that she think it was our service. We’ve never been to Bohol so we were all pretty excited. The tour will start after lunch so we first went to Island Citimall to had our breakfast and shop for souvenirs and delicacies. It was lunch time when we checked in at Sea Coral Resort and prepare for our tour. We had our lunch at Chicken Ati-Atihan then proceeded with the trip, first with Dauis Church, Bingag Ostrich, Bee Farm, and ended the day tour at Hinagdanan Cave, it has two natural holes that light the steps down to its underground swimming pool. We had dinner at the resort with the whole group.
The next day, we visited the Man Made Forest, Tarsier-world’s smallest primate, hanging Bridge, visited the Biggest python in captive, Baclayon Church, which is said to be the oldest stone church in the Philippines, Butterfly Farm, and the famous Chocolate Hills. We had a sumptuous lunch served in the floating restaurant while cruising the scenic jade-green Loboc river with a singing band on board, it is a an eat all you can, what more can you asked for? The last leg of the Loboc river cruise was a stop at the soulful serenade and dance show by the Loboc river choir. We even visited other resort, the Bohol Beach Club but decided to take a dip in our resort, though it is not the best of the beaches. But still the sunset relaxes our body and mind.
The last day would be island hopping. We witnessed the Bohol sunrise while going to Dolphin watching, we luckily spotted a younger dolphin and another big dolphin. We then went to Balicasag ISland to have our breakfast before we rode a boat to snorkel. We had much fun snorkeling and stayed on the water for more than 2 hours before going back to the island to have our lunch. We then proceeded to Virgin Island to take a swim only to find out it was just waist deep and we contented on walking around the island for a time before staying on the waist deep water and some picture taking. We then went back to our resort and pack our things for our departure at 7:00am the following day.
It was a wonderful summer vacation…sunburns and leg wounds due to corals make it also memorable for me. Im looking forward for another trip like this.
