January 26, 2011I open my Facebook account almost everyday…not to update my information or status but to know what others think or feels or what they are doing (may pagka tsismosa daw sabi ng sister ko). No, its the other way of reaching out to my friends, not all of them I get to talk often. Its part of socializing. Sometimes, its my way of unwinding from all day work or from whatever I am doing. I am having fun reading no non-sense and other times no sense at all. We need to be able to tell someone how are we feeling, and the Internet was there to listen. In Facebook, we have a choice whom to be friends with.
While in blogging, most of the time we do not have any idea who are we sharing things online, we are just lucky if we know our reader but we feel the support of the community of strangers can provide. They would know and understood us. Through them, we found what we needed to know at the strangers perspective, they are not afraid to express what they think.

Trick or Treat in January

Many people are fond of listening to some interesting stories about ghosts. Although they are quite terrifying, you get thrilled while listening to them. You might want to read this story happened to my friend just last weekend.
“We stayed in one of the hotel in Tagaytay. We we’re so thrilled when we saw our room, it was a nipa hut, with veranda overlooking the taal Lake, sorrounded by trees , and was so quiet. When the night comes, my husband decided to go to the veranda and eat, I followed him so I can take pictures, when I did the first shot, I said ” oyy parang may nag jump, teka lang ulitin ko ha.” On the second shot, nanlamig ako, kinilabutan, I saw a feet at the back of my husband, parang may nakaupo sa may veranda sa likod nya, naka hang yung feet nya, nataranta ako, I gave the camera to my husband and went inside our room. I prayed, dahil sa reaction ko, my husband deleted the picture. Naisip ko baka wala na available room kaya pina delete ko, sayang, but it was so clear na may tao sa likod nya. My husband went also to our room and look for a rosary and give it to my son. We decided to transfer to another room, but when I dialled the front desk, no one’s answering, natataranta talaga ako. Finally, the front desk answered and granted our request. The name of the hotel ? Secret! In fairness, they have good service and good facilities”
I just remembered the experience of my cousin, also in Tagaytay, at my other cousin’s resthouse. We spent the weekend there together with our other relatives. She was supposed to take a bath but as soon as she closed the bathroom door, she felt there was somebody or something behind her. She can see the tiles of the bathroom beside her and there was really a shadow. She did not dare look back but the hair at the back of her neck stood up. She got out of the bathroom as fast as she can and decided to just take a bath at her home in Manila. She said it was cold anyway. At least we took a bath before going there. And we did our restroom visit in twos or left the door open…hahaha. And we no longer interested in spending the weekend there.

But he knows it will be full of huge surprises!
He is telling you that some very unique events will occur, certain events will never happen again full stop….which is looming for you. He said your destiny is not written in stone…but you are fortunate enough. You MAKE it happen! You need to act now to ensure that you do not miss out anything.
He knows you feel torn, you want to believe and yet you can’t because your doubt and scepticism get in the way. But he ask you , have your doubts ever really helped you in your life? It simply confirms what you already know. Learns how to push your doubts aside and make the most of them.

They say, a true friend will remember your birthday and a great friend will forget how old are you.
This month, two dear friends and a daughter of my bff, who is my inaanak, are celebrating their birthdays. First and for most HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all of you!
For my friend, who is older than me (ouch! sorry), I wish for you to have people to continue to love, people in your life who will continue to care about you as much as I do. I know you’ve been through a lot and life’s not easy. But you need to realize we all go through shit at some point in our lives. May God shower his blessings on you and your family and fill your life with light of happiness.
For my friend, who shares the same opinion with me when it comes to being single 
, may you find your partner n life that will meet your standards. I hope God showers all his blessings on you and may you enjoy the joys of luck, health and prosperity. May God be with you always and help you through your life. May we have more places to visit and more food to eat together.
And to the daughter of my beloved friend, may you grow up to be a good person, a beauty and grace and continue to take care of your family especially your mom. In your entire 14 years, We only saw each other four times…when you were born, in your christening, when you took your first vacation from abroad and your last vacation. Though we are miles apart, you will always be close to my heart.

My inner fairytale princ ess is SNOW WHITE!
Just like Snow White, I’m a nurturer, often putting other people’s needs before my own. People are quick to warn me that being too kind might mean getting taken advantage of, but my sweetness doesn’t necessarily mean being naive. I genuinely believe in the goodness of people; preferring to choose kindness over being harsh. I’m steady, and always calm and collected. The guy who sweeps me off my feet will never have to contend with a jealous nature, or a nagging personality. I’m sunshine and warmth all wrapped up in one amazing package.

Unwelcomed Pains
January 8, 2011Just last week, it was 2010 and now it is 2011. A week has been gone for 2011…a week full of pains. I mean real P-A-I–N-S.. physical pain, pain in the neck and pain in my pocket .
I was welcomed by the work related topic that I left unsolved in 2010….that’s really a pain in the neck and unfortunately, I don’t have a solution until now. I am still doing my own research. I just hope I will have something to fit in that topic by next week.
Then I learned that the scheduled company bowling tournment will be on January 22. We just started practicing last Thursday during lunch break and the pain in our arms were killing us at night. And they really believed I will be an effective Team Captain? Well, Goodluck to us. The last game I played was more than a decade ago in my previous company. Ehem…ehem…I got a medal for that, but it took a lot of practice. And we need to practice more since we just had 2 weeks before the tournament. And more practice means more expenses.
And just this morning, I had some kind of vaccination which cost me a few thousand bucks per session and I need 3 sessions. Ouch!!! that was really painful more than the injection, not to mention I had to bring my sister and pay for hers too.
And to forget the painful week , I tried having my hair curl….its nice sporting different looks, I might consider have it that way. I visited four malls today. And when I say visited, as you know it is not just a simple visit. Of course, I need (it is a must for me) to buy something with my every visit ending the mall tours to a very hearty dinner with my siblings.
We were early for our anticipated mass and we witnessed a wedding of one of the grandchild of the rich and famous celebrity-businessman-politician. We saw those people that we normally see only in tv, newspaper or can hear in the radio. We saw beautiful people inside the church…elite and elegant people. We saw them walking to and pro…ladies complaining the pain in their feet due to wearing stilleto and kids complaining the pain in their stomach due to long waiting for reception. They are humans afterall.
I’ve been staring at my pc right now trying to decide if I’ll push through on my out of the country trip for the year. The sale would be until midnight today and the travel period would be until March 2011. Maybe I will, maybe I’ll re-schedule it for the later part of the year. The temptation is too strong.
There are also people who are really pain in the a*s. I really hope they will change for the better.
I hope I started my year right and I hope the rest of the year would minimize unwelcomed pains.
