“Katyangspaceship” comes from the word “kathang-isip”. “Katya” means pure, it is the name of an Immortal in Highlander: The Series. The “Spaceship” refers to fantasy …out of this world when you are out of your mind…a pigment of imagination or a realization?... sometimes mistakenly known as hallucination. Let’s explore both sides of the world…WELCOME ABOARD…

Wet a Day…Bed Weather

June 25, 2011

I have had an incredibly insanely busy week and I made it through without going into a flare. Last week was painful as well as stressful for me not to mention the bad weather did not cooperate.

Last Wednesday, I found a solution with one of the cause of my headache….I had my tooth extracted and I did it during lunchtime, then I was back for work after an hour to attend for a meeting. That solution to my headache caused me to skipped my Wednesday public speaking session and Thursday schedule of aerobics.

It was also a last minute preparation for our sportsfest which was decided to pushed through rain or shine. Thanks to my 3 angels who helped me all the way. I owe you guys.

Glad to say, I have had a lot of fun though.

I would like also to post some shout outs on fb that I read this week. You see, as I previously informed you, reading shout outs on fb entertained me. It sort of like a way of unwinding for me. So here it is….

“Whatever you give a woman, she will make it greater. Give her sperm, she will give you a baby. A house, she will give you a home. Groceries she will give you a meal. Give her a smile, she will give you her heart. She mulitiplies and enlarges what she is given. So if you give her crap, be…ready to receive a ton of shit”

“I used to believe in forever, but forever’s too good to be true.”

“Dear Sleep, I’m sorry we broke up this morning because of this whole rain thing… I love you, I miss you, and I want you back”

“Ibinasura ang “Pilipinas Kay Ganda” DOT slogan, alin ang pwedeng ipalit para sa mahal nating bayan?1. “Bohol: Go To Hill”2. “Be Cool, Bicol!”3. “Pinas, Ganda Mo Teh!”4. “Cubao, Bow. Sarap Umibabaw Sa Cubao!”5. “Thanks For Coming, Camiguin”6. “Kamuning Get Me”7. “Hanap Mo Ba Maluwag, Halina Sa Laoag!”8. “Babaeng Balbon, Marami Sa Malabon.”9. “Boracay, You Beach!”10. “Aura Na Sa Aurora!”vote na!”

Well, that’s enough for this week – thanks for reading the ramblings.  The weekend is supposed to be wet – so stay dry!

Happy YIppee Tatay

June 21, 2011

Happy Father’s Day to all the fathers in the world.

MyTatay was not here  last weekend to celebrate Father’s day. He was in the province with my other sister and my mother, He was not in the habit of reading text message nor bringing with him his cellphone so we just greeted him through my sister.

We sent our greetings for him as someone who is loving and patient father. We Love You Tay. It was also his birthday last June 17, so Happy Birthday too.

I was not in the mood to blog these days since my tooth hurt and still hurts at this moment, it is giving me headache. It hurts like hell. I cant think straight and it is giving me some sleepless nights. I am just waiting for the pain to subside before I visit my dentist.

Bloody Thursday

June 3, 2011

I made a humanitarian deed yesterday, I donated my blood to a father of a colleague. It was something I used to do, as I recall this would be my 3rd time. I have found the freedom to do it without fear. It was awesome, I feel good about it. Eventhough I expect to feel woozy afterward. But I did not, maybe, my body got used to it.

They did a health screening at the beginning, checked my blood pressure, pulse, temperature. They poked my finger to check my hemoglobin to make sure I was healthy enough to donate. My finger was poked twice because they need to repeat the process of counting my hemoglobin, which was below average at that time and they told me I might faint once I had a blood transfusion. Well, the needle stick really wasn’t bad. Luckily, I had an average hemoglobin count the second time.

When its time to have my blood drawn, the Nurse told me not to move my arm anymore once he inserted the needle because I have a thread-like and moving veins. And I could feel the needle in my arm the whole time. It wasn’t painful like the initial needle stick, but just aggravating. It took about 20 minutes. I had a cousin who died leukemia and I know how important every drop is.

The thought of being able to help and save people’s lives everytime I donate blood makes me feel like a better person. Despite the distance, the long process, long wait and poor ventilation, it was one of the best times I ever had. It felt like I had a blood compact and makes our connection stronger…. and I am not referring to the patient.
