Big Day for Little Guy
July 23, 2011
It was a birthday of my good friend last July 8 and I was able to attend her office birthday celebration. I was not surprised that everybody in her office adores her…I think no one hated her. Everyone is her friend. She is a little short of height for her age and has a big mole on her left cheek. Our friends would sometimes call her “Ate Guy”. I met her when I was in college and my cousins labeled her as my little sidekick. We used to go to school together since we lived in the same city, go home together and made lakwatsa together. When we graduated, we enrolled in a computer school together. When I started working, my cousin referred her as secretary of one of the medical practitioner in her clinic. Eventually, her employer moved out from the clinic and my friend was then employed where her sister used to work, in a a publishing company where she stays until now. She is now married with two beautiful daughters. At first, her older sister (who is still single) and her mother (a widower) thought, the three of them will stick together. Uhhmmm…I mean, they said they had a blood compact that they will be forever single. Well, of course they thought wrong when one day she said to them she was going to cityhall. They asked why and she said she would just be getting married and will be back soon…as if just informing them thet she has some errands to do, just like that. Her eldest daughter, who is my inaanak, is no longer a little girl but turning out to be a beautiful lady.
Anyways, my friend, a very happy happy birthday to you. You’ve been so nice to me. A lending ears and a walking living diary. Though, you said once that the capacity of your memory is just as short as your height and might not take all the things I am telling you and it can be easily forgotten, its ok for me. Despite your height, you are amazing friend…beautiful on the inside and out. You are a great friend to have. May you have many years to come.
It is a nice feeling to have known a gold hearted person like you in whom I can confide everything. Those presence around has always been a source of joy and happiness. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
